Student Assistants

Web and Digital Projects Assistant (WDPA): Responsibilities include digitization of archival materials and basic maintenance and creation of library web pages. WDPAs should have familiarity with the operation of flatbed digital scanners; the technical concepts involved with the digitization of images, video, and audio; and the practices and technical requirements of web design and development, specifically HTML.

WDPAs work in a project-based environment, using established guidelines for the capture and storage of digital images and for the creation of valid code. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Macromedia Dreamweaver is preferred.

WDPAs should exhibit the ability to work independently in a productive manner with minimal supervision. Attention to detail is required. Hours are flexible, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
