Student tasks in Acquisitions
Student Assistants working in the Acquisitions Unit will be trained in the following tasks:
- Sort and date-stamp incoming orders
- Select, retrieve and download MARC records using OCLC Connexion software
- Search new orders in the Library's online catalog
- Create electronic purchase orders
- Navigate vendor databases to select titles for purchase
- Assist in managing paper files
- Invoice and receive new materials
- Search gift books in the Library's online catalog
- Create electronic purchase orders for gift books
- Assist in maintenance of Gift Books storeroom
Students may also be cross-trained in tasks of other units, such as the Resource Maintenance Unit.

Double click the Cataloging icon from the desktop to get to a login screen.
Note that your login for Voyager (the Library's database) must be established by the System Administrator and usually consists of your network login minus any numbers. You will be assigned a password.
Choose Cataloging rather than RARE for the location:
