I am a rising junior at Wake, double majoring in Sociology and Political Science. I was born and raised in Tampa, FL. When at home, I live with my mom, dad, and 17 year old brother, Carter. At school, I am involved with the Wesley Foundation, Student to Student Fellowship, and volunteer different places in Winston. In the fall, I will be studying and interning in London, England.
On this trip, I hope to learn a lot about the history behind inequality. I've spent lots of time in the classroom learning about stratifiaction and race relations. This class should be very enlightening, as it will allow me to put a face or image to all the things that I've learned. I hope to come out of this week with ideas about how to better serve those who need help the most.
